PETITION TO RESURFACE THE SKATE CIRCLE
Before the pandemic, in early 2020, the City allocated $80,000 in funds for the resurfacing of The Skate Circle. The Central Park Conservancy (who manages Central Park under a contract with the City of New York and NYC Parks) makes the final decision regarding when any work gets done. They said they are working through city contracts for city funded projects. They said there is a backlog due to the pandemic, so they are unable to give an estimate of when the project will be scheduled! Please sign the edition so funds can be released and work can get scheduled.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We need help from you, our Skaters and Other Supporters, to secure a safe storage area near the Park where we can keep our sound equipment and charge our batteries. We also need a van or large SUV to transport our gear from storage to the Park and back to storage.
A storage space with electric outlets were promised to us back in 1995, but that promise has not been fulfilled since renovations of the bandshell have started in 2019.
FUN FUN FUN AT THE SKATE CIRCLE!
Your generous contribution will go to pay for permits, sound equipment, storage, and other essential operating costs necessary to keep the CPDSA Skate Circle rolling.
